Mission:
Habitat ID’s mandate is to conduct camera-trapping surveys in underpioritized and protected areas in Southeast Asia with the aim of proving that these neglected habitats are worthy of greater conservation investment by the government and international NGOs. We have achieved these goals at both of our current project sites, and as soon as international travel is possible again, we will begin a new project with local Thai partners in Khao Soi Dao Wildlife Sanctuary in eastern Thailand near the Cambodian border—a similarly overlooked ecosystem that is rumored to harbor an undocumented population of Critically Endangered Indochinese tigers and Indochinese leopards.
