
Candace is a spokeswoman for underappreciated species who holds degrees in Geography, Anthropology and Geographic Information Systems and is also the Director of Communications and Partnerships for the Amphibian Survival Alliance. In this role she is helping to bring together many of the world’s conservation organizations, including TBG, to collaboratively address the global amphibian declines crisis. Through various opportunities she engages these organizations at all levels of amphibian conservation, from fundamental research, to in-country conservation work through to national and global policy efforts. Candace also helps to turn research into action through a diverse array of internal and external strategic communications, education and public awareness efforts that help ensure amphibian conservation success. This involves making biodiversity science relevant to the public and most importantly, enhancing the public’s awareness of the amphibian crisis and encouraging them to participate in conservation efforts.
