Maureen E. O’Nell earned her MS in policy from the University of Illinois, Chicago and has served as an executive leader to nonprofits for over two decades. She understands the complexity of managing nonprofits and how critical impeccable stewardship is to healthy, sustainable systems. Being a part of board leadership for The Biodiversity Group is an ideal role for Maureen to help make a difference in our worldwide ecosystem, helping people become aware of and tend to our greater communities through the lens of life overlooked.
Maureen was raised to value the interconnectedness of all life. She spent summers of her youth in the mountains of Wyoming digging in the earth, learning why there were seashells in the red clay, managing daily tasks without plumbing, and knowing to admire the Indian Paintbrush yet to never pick them as they were near extinct.
